Henderson, NV – January 26, 2012 – Black Mountain Productions Inc., the creator of the annual Indie Music Fest in Henderson/Las Vegas, Nevada, is pleased to announce a new pathway to achieving success for emerging film, music video and video gaming artists. The brand new Indie Film Fest, under the direction and guidance of Mr. Gregg Cobarr, beginning in April 2013, assists the independent filmmaker by helping build greater awareness of their projects, to establish additional opportunities and to create the necessary exposure of their work within the global film and gaming industries.
The Indie Film Fest has also created a brand new award – the “Indie Light Awards.” These high achievement awards will be given to the most important up and coming filmmakers in the U.S. and Canada, initially, but the competition will then include Europe after the first year of awards. An award presentation ceremony will be held to honor the first year’s recipients.
Since The Indie Film Fest will be in conjunction with The Indie Music Fest in 2013, The Indie Film Fest will also recognize the use of independent music for production soundtracks and film scores, which are created, written and performed by independent artists, writers and musicians. This encourages independent filmmakers to utilize the talents of these music resources.
There will also be workshops during The Indie Film Fest for attendees to network and to receive unique educational opportunities for the actor, songwriter, screenwriter, director and producer.
