Nick Cave announces, “That’s it for Grinderman.”

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds side project Grinderman is apparently no more, following an unceremonious breakup announcement at this weekend’s Meredith Music Festival in Australia. According to Vine, at the end of the band’s set, Nick Cave told the crowd, “That’s it for Grinderman. It’s over.” He added, perhaps as a jab at bands who reunite, “See you all in another 10 years when we’ll be even older and uglier.”
Grinderman last released an album, the excellent Grinderman 2, in 2010.
