ART HOUSE LIVE SUMMER FINALE This Friday featuring Native Eloquence

The live sessions continue at our new Art House Live Space in West LA. Throughout the summer we are playing host to many talented musicians and artists, and on Friday, August 10th we are presenting a night of new live music featuring performances by Native Eloquence, StaG, Wet Leather, and Think. We will also feature acoustic sets on our outdoor Heirloom Stage by artists TBA.

Tucked away in Mar Vista, Art House Live inhabits an old tomato market that dates back to 1913. We have renovated the interior to in
clude a storefront gallery space and a fully functioning studio/performance room.

STAG was founded by Will Walden and Matt McGuire, a duo of LA natives that met when they were 5 years old in a Tee Ball league, and have gone to school together from first grade to college. Layered vocal harmonies, echoing guitars and noise, a mix of electronic and live percussion, and swirling keyboard samples characterize their unique sun-washed sound. StaG has been featured on Portals music and has performed for many audiences in Colorado and the west coast, including the Gold Rush Music Festival and the Underground Music Showcase in Denver. The band will headline the August 10th edition of Art House Live sessions, playing new material from the forthcoming sophomore record “When It Falls Apart”. http://stag.bandcamp.com/

NATIVE ELOQUENCE is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist, composer, and Los Angeles native Adam Hirsch, whose diverse musical influences and interests combine to form a unique experimental sound. The music of Native Eloquence strives to find its own niche in the borderlands between improvised and synthesized music, blending pop song forms with unconventional harmonies and rhythms, and layering both electronic and acoustic sounds. Adam will be playing music from his first self-titled EP as well as a slew of new material. http://nativeeloquence.bandcamp.com/

WET LEATHER is a limited liability corporation whose constituent members have, at all relevant times, resided in Los Angeles, California. Pursuant to constitutional agreement of July 2012, Matt, Thad, and Will are all of its shareholders and the authorized capital of the Company consists of an unlimited number of common voting shares equally partitioned between the “Founders.” In accordance with Article II Section 7 ofmediaspoon.com summit on “Brand Development in International ‘Indierock,’” the firm is authorized to identify Talking Heads, Arthur Russell, and Lou Reed, but not Phil Collins, as formative influences to the establishment of the Wet Leather brand.

Tom Kearney, the man behind the music of THINK, is a musician and producer from Edina, Minnesota. He is currently a computer science major at Oberlin College, where he has also studied electronic composition and developed his music in many different contexts. His Think project is rooted in sample-based electronic music, most of which is composed with and performed on a classic Roland SP-404 sampler. The sound of his debut EP entitled “Solstice” ranges from ambient sound collages to bass-heavy beat drops, all tied together by a strong sense of both musicianship and production skill. http://think1.bandcamp.com/
