After forming at Vassar College in 2009, The Anti-Job burst onto the New York City underground music scene. Since their debut they have developed a dedicated following across the US and around the world. Their two lead singles, from their debut EP, “We Are The Anti-Job (2009) ”The Robbery” and “Love Strange”, have been played several times on British internet radio shows. In 2009, The Anti-Job finished in 2nd place out of 300 bands in a promotional competition to play at Noise Pop Festival 2009 in San Francisco, California. In early 2010 their band was featured on Artrocker Magazine TV. They were interviewed on college radio stations, including WMUC at University of Maryland and WVKR at Vassar College. In the Summer of 2010, The Anti-Job toured the East Coast and Mid-West,(Conquistatour 2010) playing 10 shows in 9 different cities.
